Deputy PM emphasizes successful launch of navigation seals pilot project between Armenia and Russia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Russia was held in Moscow on December 19.

Head of the Armenian delegation, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, in his closing remarks noted that, after summing up the annual results, they found that almost all the decisions made during the 22nd session had been implemented.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the economic indicators are particularly impressive.

"During the event, we discussed important issues and exchanged ideas on directions that will ensure further strengthening of economic cooperation between our countries amidst the evolving architecture of international trade," Deputy PM stated.

"I am convinced that the significant simplification of the cargo transportation system, particularly at the Upper Lars checkpoint, will contribute to the smooth functioning of the logistics chain and have a positive impact on strengthening business ties and enhancing the competitiveness of our economies," Grigoryan said.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of successfully launching a pilot project utilizing navigation seals to streamline the movement of goods and people between Armenia and Russia. He also underscored the need to advance digital technologies to further improve cooperation in the sphere.
