YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. A delegation led by Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan on December 16 met with President of India Droupadi Murmu during an official visit to India.
During the meeting both sides were pleased to note the high dynamics of development of bilateral relations and added that despite the broad cooperation there is still untapped potential in the ties, according to a readout issued by the Armenian parliament’s press service.
President Droupadi Murmu thanked Speaker Simonyan for the official visit to India and expressed confidence that it will open a new chapter in bilateral relations.
Speaker Simonyan thanked for the meeting and stressed that India is an important partner for Armenia.
Issues of bilateral interest were discussed, including issues pertaining to the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
