Civil Contract to focus on higher standards of integrity and broader public involvement, says PM

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has presented the outcomes of the 5th Political Assembly of the Civil Contract party held 14 December in Ashtarak.

In a statement on social media, Pashinyan, Chairman of the Board of Civil Contract, said that two highly important decisions in terms of the party’s development were made during the session.

“First, that the party must set higher standards of integrity for itself, which will be confirmed during the seventh congress of the party. Next, the party must no longer develop as a party of state officials or local self-government officials, but it must involve broader layers of the society from the middle class and all others who are not public administration employees. So, our countrymen who aren’t working in the state system and share the views of the Civil Contract party, based on the concept of Real Armenia, can soon become more active and sign up to join the party in regional offices,” Pashinyan said.
