YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The Football Federation of Armenia has been fined €37,500 by UEFA.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body fined the Armenian federation €20,000 for the use of fireworks during the 14.11.2024 Armenia vs. Faroe Islands match, and ordered the partial closure of the Football Federation of Armenia’s stadium (i.e. a total of 500 adjacent seats in the south and southeast stands), during the next UEFA competition match in which the Football Federation of Armenia will play as host association.

“Said partial stadium closure is suspended during a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision,” the UEFA disciplinary body said. The Armenian federation was fined another €17,500 for “transmitting a message unfit for a sports event,” i.e. the use of illicit banners.
