PACE Secretary General visits Armenia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights began on December 9 in Yerevan.

PACE Secretary General Despina Chatzivassiliou-Tsovilis has arrived in Armenia within the framework of the session, the Armenian parliament’s press service reported.

Ahead of the session, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan held a meeting with Secretary General Despina Chatzivassiliou-Tsovilis and Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights Vice-Chairperson Pablo Hispan to discuss organizational issues.

PACE President Theodoros Roussopoulos greeted the participants of the session online.

Speaker Simonyan delivered opening remarks at the session.
