Armenia’s Simon Martirosyan to skip 2024 IWF World Weightlifting Championships

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan will not participate in the 2024 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain, the National Olympic Committee has said.

The two-time Olympic silver medalist, World and European championship winning heavyweight weightlifter will not participate in the event due to a trauma.

The Armenian team will be represented by 9 athletes.

The world championships start on December 6.
