YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan will visit Helsinki on 28–29 November at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland Elina Valtonen, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland said in a press release.
The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, relations between Armenia and the European Union, Finland’s forthcoming OSCE Chairpersonship and regional issues.
“The bilateral relations between Finland and Armenia are good. Foreign Minister Mirzoyan’s visit will provide an opportunity to discuss closer cooperation. Finland strongly supports Armenia’s efforts to move closer to the European Union and encourages the country to continue on the path to democratic development,” the ministry quoted Minister Valtonen as saying.
During his visit to Finland, Foreign Minister Mirzoyan will also meet President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-Aho and Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand.
