Canada spent $13.6 billion to support Ukraine

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Since 2022, the Government of Canada has already allocated about 19 billion Canadian dollars ($13.6 billion) to support Ukraine, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said at the 70th annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Montreal, Tass reports.

"We have increased our support for Ukraine, having spent 4.5 billion Canadian dollars ($3.2 billion) on military spending since the beginning of the current conflict," the Prime minister said. "In total, we have already allocated about 19 billion Canadian dollars to support Ukraine."

Regarding the latest military spending for Kyiv's needs, he mentioned that Ottawa had financed training for Ukrainian pilots on operating F-16 fighter jets and also provided the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.
