Minister of High-Tech Industry visits Gurus company

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, accompanied by Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan, visited the "Gurus" company, which provides biometric services to leading biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and contract research organizations (CRO).

According to the ministry, the services offered include statistical programming in SAS and R, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, and more. The company boasts the largest and most experienced team of SAS programmers in the region.

During the visit, the minister toured the company's facilities with co-founder and director Vahe Martirosyan, got acquainted with the employees, and the company's multifaceted activities. Martirosyan highlighted that "Gurus," established in 2019, expanded its presence from 2021- 2023 by opening branches in Vanadzor, Ijevan, and Gyumri. The company collaborates closely with the Armenian State University of Economics, the French University of Armenia, and other universities.

The Minister was also briefed on the company's educational programs, noting that "Gurus" has developed its own training system since its foundation.

Minister Hayrapetyan emphasized that the technology sector is a government priority, and its development relies significantly on collaboration between the state and private companies. He also presented details on legislative initiatives aimed at advancing the sector.

The company representatives introduced a new application for automated statistical analysis and data visualization, developed using SAS, R (Shiny), JavaScript, and other programming languages.

The discussion also included various public-private partnership opportunities.
