YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Armenian athletes have so far won 5 medals on Day 1 of the 37th CISM World Military Wrestling Championships in Yerevan.
Ashot Khachatryan won bronze in the 77kg category by defeating Jordan’s Amro Abed 1:9.
Suren Aghajanyan defeated North Korea's Ri Se and won gold.
Gaspar Terteryan won gold by defeating Iran's Ali C. 11:0 in the 67kg category of Greco-Roman wreslting.
In the 63kg category, Hrachya Poghosyan won bronze after defeating Colombia’s Oscar Leonardo 8:0.
Elen Babajanyan (53kg) from the women’s team won silver by defeating 8:7 Mongolia's Oyundari G.
