Arpine Sargsyan appointed Minister of Internal Affairs

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. President Vahagn Khachaturyan on Wednesday formalized the appointment of Arpine Sargsyan as Minister of Internal Affairs.
The decree was signed at the advice of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The promotion of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan to Minister of Internal Affairs was announced by PM Pashinyan earlier on Wednesday morning.
Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan resigned on November 18, along with several other high-ranking officials, after PM Nikol Pashinyan strongly criticized Armenia’s judicial and law-enforcement bodies for failing to end a perceived lack of justice in the country.
