Armenian, Hungarian parliament speakers discuss Azerbaijan peace process and POWs

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan has met with his Hungarian counterpart László Kövér.

Simonyan led a delegation to the Hungarian parliament on November 14.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér thanked Speaker Simonyan for paying an official visit and said that such meetings are greatly promoting the development of relations between the two countries, the Armenian parliament said in a readout.

Simonyan thanked his Hungarian counterpart for the warm reception and invited him to pay an official visit to Armenia.

The speakers discussed a broad circle of issues related to interparliamentary cooperation, bilateral relations and regional interests. The Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty topic and the issue of Armenian POWs held in Azerbaijan were also discussed.

Speaker Simonyan toured the Hungarian parliament building and signed the honorary guestbook.
