Armenian FM, Sweden’s Minister for EU Affairs discuss strengthening partnership

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met on November 12 in Stockholm with Sweden’s Minister for EU Affairs Jessica Rosencrantz.

FM Mirzoyan and Minister Rosencrantz were pleased to note the progress in strengthening the Armenia-EU partnership that has been reflected in various areas of cooperation and in the new partnership agenda that is under negotiation, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

FM Mirzoyan underscored Prime Minister Pashinyan’s statement made in the European Parliament that Armenia is ready to be closer to the European Union, as much as the European Union considers it possible. Mirzoyan presented to Rosencrantz the active discussions in the Armenian society about deepening partnership with the EU. The ministers agreed to consider new opportunities and initiatives for partnership between the two countries that can additionally promote Armenia-EU partnership in various directions.

In the context of regional security developments FM Mirzoyan presented the main developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process.
