China ready to support peaceful resolution of existing issues in South Caucasus, says diplomat

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. China is ready to provide support for the peaceful resolution of existing issues in the South Caucasus and hopes that regional countries resolve all problems and challenges through dialogue and talks, China's Chargé d'Affaires (a.i.) in Armenia, Chen Ming, said on Tuesday.
“The Chinese side certainly supports the position that there should be an opportunity for opening the connections and peaceful coexistence in the South Caucasus,” Ming told reporters on the sidelines of the China’s Modernization: Armenia-China Relationship international seminar at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, expressing China’s stance on the possible reopening of connection routes in South Caucasus.
Ming expressed hope that the countries in the South Caucasus will be able to resolve all existing issues and challenges through political dialogue and negotiations.
“Like I said, China is eager for Chinese leading organizations to have participation in the region’s economic life, in the development of high technologies and other sectors. And since we are interested in all of this, we are also ready to provide our support for the peaceful resolution of existing issues in the region,” the Chinese diplomat said.
