Cabinet nominates new head of regulatory body for parliament’s approval

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. The Cabinet has nominated Mesrop Mesropyan, a former governor of Kotayk province, for the vacant position of Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.
The post has been vacant since Garegin Baghramyan’s resignation in October.
Mesropyan’s candidacy has to be approved by parliament.
The ex-governor thanked the Cabinet of ministers for entrusting him the position. In case of passing the confirmation vote in parliament he said he will use his skills and experience to give effective solutions to the issues in the sector and organize the normal activities of the commission.
