Iran seeks stronger ties with Armenia

KAPAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. The Iranian government wants to further deepen cooperation with Armenia in various areas, the country’s ambassador has said.

Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani, speaking at the opening of the Armenia-Iran: Cooperation and New Prospects analytical seminar, said that the Iranian government will seek to sign new documents with Armenia on promoting cooperation in various sectors.

“The Iranian government will seek to sign new documents with Armenia to promote cooperation in various sectors. At the same time, the previously signed documents between Armenia and Iran deserve due regard,” he said.

Armenia and Iran have so far signed more than 190 international agreements, memoranda and protocols covering nearly every sector of the relations.
