YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has voiced “positive developments” in the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process.
Papoyan, the Vice Chairman of the Board of the ruling Civil Contract Party, told reporters he believes the peace treaty will eventually be signed.
“The process that now exists between Armenia and Azerbaijan gives me a positive impression, and we are nevertheless heading towards that and we will sign the peace treaty,” he said.
Papoyan refused to comment on possible timeframes of signing the peace treaty.
“I see that there are positive developments, and we are heading towards the signing of the peace treaty,” Papoyan said.
He said he is optimistic given the discussions, exchange of peace treaty versions and delimitation work between the sides.
