Armenia to host global forum on genocide prevention in December

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan has commented on Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s recent statement that the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not a priority of the Foreign Ministry.

Hovhannisyan told reporters that Armenia continues implementing a number of steps in the direction of genocide prevention.

“In December Armenia will host a global forum with a rather ambitious program. And for us the genocide prevention issue remains one of the important issues. It’s about being a priority or not,” Hovhannisyan said.
