YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Armenia and Azerbaijan are discussing the next section of delimitation and there is no final decision yet, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan has said.
Speaking about the Armenia-Azerbaijan regulation on joint activity of the border delimitation commissions, he said, “I think that the existence of that document is the greatest victory for both Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is a bilateral victory. This is the first interstate document between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and its implementation is one of the most important cornerstones of both Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s independence, territorial integrity. And we will move forward.”
Simonyan expressed hope that the process will advance positively.
At this moment there is no decision where specifically the delimitation will continue. “Discussions are now underway as to where to continue it from,” he said.
Simonyan stressed that the reproduction of the border is a highly important matter.
Speaking about the Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting in Kazan, Russia, Simonyan said: “The conversation was the same, the establishment of peace, opening of connections, and discussions about prisoners.”
