YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. Tangible results have been recorded this year in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told lawmakers on Thursday.

Mirzoyan spoke at a joint committee hearing in parliament on the 2025 state budget draft.

He said that the foreign ministry’s efforts will continue to be aimed at forming a peaceful and stable environment around Armenia.

“This first of all means the normalization and development of relations with our neighbors,” Mirzoyan said.

Speaking about the normalization with Azerbaijan, the Armenian FM said that “very tangible results” were recorded in 2024 in this direction, first of all in the direction of the delimitation of the interstate border.

“In April, we signed a document on the level of the chairmen of the commissions on delimitation of the two countries, and then the regulation on the joint activity of the commissions was signed, which was ratified by the National Assembly in Armenia, and by Azerbaijan under their relevant procedures. Soon the parties will officially notify each other on the regulation taking effect, after which I hope the delimitation works will continue. At this moment no obstacles for this are seen,” Mirzoyan said.
