Baku summons EU envoy, hands a note of protest

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan and was handed a note of protest, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has said.

The Azeri side handed Michalko a note of protest regarding the resolution on Azerbaijan adopted by the European Parliament on October 24.

On October 24, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the situation in Azerbaijan, violation of human rights and international law and relations with Armenia. 453 deputies voted in favour of the resolution, 31 voted against, 89 abstained.
