YEREVAN, OCTOBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan on Tuesday received Claudia Bush, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Armenia.
According to the ministry, Minister Ghazaryan congratulated the newly appointed ambassador on her appointment. He highly appreciated the friendly relations between the two countries, particularly emphasizing the police cooperation conducted through Interpol and the liaison officer of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The minister considered the dialogue on visa liberalization announced by Armenia and the European Commission as an important achievement. In that context, several topics were discussed.
Thanking the minister for the warm welcome, Ambassador Bush expressed her readiness to continue close cooperation, particularly in the fields of police work, rescue services, and migration and citizenship services.
The meeting also focused on the construction of new centers for asylum seekers, along with several issues of mutual interest. An agreement was reached to continue this close cooperation.
