Armenia, U.S. extend agreement on countering proliferation of WMDs

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian parliamentary committee on defense and security affairs on Thursday approved the bill on ratifying the extension of the Armenia-U.S. agreement on Cooperation in Countering the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The agreement was originally signed in July of 2000 with a 7-year term and has been extended twice ever since.

In May 2024, the sides signed another 7-year extension, until November 2030.
