Uruguay’s Vice President briefed on South Caucasus security situation

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Ambassador to Uruguay Mariam Gevorgyan has met with Uruguay’s Vice President, President of the General Assembly and the Senate Beatriz Argimon.

During the meeting Ambassador Gevorgyan and Vice President Argimon concurred that the Armenian-Uruguayan warm relations continue to develop and strengthen, with the opening of the Armenian resident embassy in Montevideo as a clear testament to it, the embassy said in a readout.

Vice President Argimon stressed that Uruguay has always had a special friendly attitude towards Armenia and in this context she highly appreciated the role of the Uruguay-Armenian community.

The Uruguayan Vice President expressed readiness to make maximum efforts to strengthen effective partnership with Armenia in all areas of mutual interest and find new directions of cooperation.

The Armenian Ambassador presented to the Vice President the security situation and challenges in the South Caucasus.
