Armenian Foreign Minister to attend third 3+3 regional meeting

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will participate in the third meeting of foreign ministers in the 3+3 regional format, the Foreign Minister's spokesperson, Ani Badalyan has said. The ministerial meeting will take place on October 18 in Istanbul.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed his participation. Iran also announced that its Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, will attend the meeting.

The first meeting of the 3+3 consultation platform was held in December 2021. The deputy foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Turkey had participated in it. Georgia, however, had refused to attend that meeting.

The second meeting was held in October 2023. It was held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, at the level of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Georgia did not attend that meeting either.
