Armenian, Turkish parliament speakers discuss normalization

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS. President of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan on October 14 in Geneva met with the President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmus. 

The speakers of parliament discussed “a broad range of issues pertaining to the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations,” according to a readout issued by the Armenian parliament’s press service. 

Speaker Simonyan presented to the Turkish side the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks and reiterated Armenia’s readiness to the process of establishing peace. Speaker Simonyan also presented to Kurtulmus the Armenian government’s Crossroads of Peace project. 

The sides agreed to continue contacts.
