YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. As part of his working visit to Turkmenistan, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan held meetings with the National Leader of Turkmenistan and Speaker of Parliament, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as the country's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Armenian President had a meeting and private conversation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on October 10, and another meeting and private conversation with the current President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on October 11.
On October 10, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan on a working visit arrived in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, to participate in a conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet and founder of Turkmen classical literature Magtymguly Fragi, where he delivered a speech.
A number of other heads of state also participated in the conference held in Ashgabat, titled "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development." Among them were President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
High-ranking officials from Mongolia, Pakistan, and several other countries also attended the conference.
