Armenia firmly denounces targeting of UNIFIL headquarters

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Foreign Ministry has “firmly denounced” the targeting of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) headquarters. 

“Armenia as a contributing country to UNIFIL firmly denounces the targeting of the headquarters of UNIFIL, entrusted to foster stability in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.

Earlier UNIFIL said two peacekeepers in Lebanon were injured after an “IDF Merkava tank fired its weapon toward an observation tower at UNIFIL’s headquarters in Naqoura, directly hitting it and causing them to fall.”
