Russia welcomes Armenia's active participation in the Eurasian Economic Union - Zakharova

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS.The Russian Federation welcomes Armenia's active participation in the work of the Eurasian Economic Union, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, said during the weekly briefing on October 2.

However, she added that, Moscow expresses regret for the continuous freezing of Armenia's activities in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.  

"We think that the CSTO has an important role in ensuring the security of Armenia, and the EAEU plays a significant role in the economy. However, Armenia, as a sovereign state, decides its own policy," said Maria Zakharova.
