YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS.Within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Friday met with Bulgarian counterpart Ivan Kondov.
According to a readout issued by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors discussed the issues of expanding bilateral relations between Armenia and Bulgaria, both through the deepening of the political dialogue and the further development of cooperation in specific directions.
Among other topics, they emphasized the importance of close collaboration in economic and tourism development. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan raised concerns about issues faced by Armenian citizens during visits to Bulgaria, stressing the need to address these challenges to further promote people-to-people contacts.
According to the source, Foreign Minister Mirzoyan commended the initiation of dialogue on the liberalization of Armenia-EU visas.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Bulgaria also discussed projects aimed at developing regional interconnection. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan referred to the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the Armenian government.
Foreign Minister Mirzoyan presented to his counterpart the Republic of Armenia's vision for achieving stable peace in the South Caucasus, including the regulation of relations with neighboring countries.
