Armenia, EU officials discuss security relations and European Peace Facility aid

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, during his visit to Brussels, met with Deputy Secretary General for Peace, Security and Defense of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Charles Fries. 

In a statement, Grigoryan said he discussed with Charles Fries the “agenda of the Armenia-EU security relations and existing opportunities.”

They also discussed the activity of the EU civilian monitoring mission, underscoring its significance in terms of ensuring regional security. “We also discussed the provision of aid to Armenia through the European Peace Facility, highlighting it in terms of increasing Armenia’s resilience,” Grigoryan added.

Grigoryan said he also met with representatives of research centers and presented Armenia’s approaches, foreign policy and security priorities.
