Armenian-Chinese cooperation is growing based on historical ties between our people - Armenian Deputy PM

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. China was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of the Republic of Armenia. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the ties between Armenia and China have developed in a warm and friendly atmosphere, based on the historically strong connections, mutual respect, and trust between our peoples.

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a reception organized at the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He emphasized that China has made significant progress in establishing its state and developing its economy, ensuring a stable increase in the standard of living for its population.

"The development of comprehensive cooperation with China is one of the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy. We attach great importance to further developing and strengthening our friendly relations with China. I would like to emphasize that Armenia has always supported China and continues to uphold the 'One China' principle. Our high level of cooperation is also reflected in the fields of trade, tourism, culture, education, and humanitarian relations," noted the Deputy Prime Minister.

Grigoryan also emphasized the significance of the first direct flight from China’s Urumqi to Yerevan, launched three weeks ago.

The Deputy Prime Minister once again congratulated his Chinese friends on the occasion of the national holiday and expressed gratitude to Mr. Chen Ming, the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia, for his efforts to strengthen Armenian-Chinese relations.
