Armenia in favor of negotiated resolution to Cyprus issue based on UN resolutions – defense minister

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is closely following the developments taking place in the Eastern Mediterranean region, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan has said.

“Armenia is in favor of a negotiated resolution to the Cyprus issue on the basis of the well-known principles of UN resolutions,” Papikyan said at a joint press conference with the Minister of Defense of Cyprus Vasilis Palmas. “Of course we also touched upon the situation in the Middle East, the direct neighbor of Cyprus. We shared our assessments and concerns with the minister.”
