Armenia and Montenegro discuss development of bilateral agenda

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. On September 23, in New York City, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Filip Ivanović, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro. The meeting took place within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

FM Mirzoyan and his Montenegrin counterpart commended the developing active political dialogue between the two countries and stressed mutual readiness to continue enriching the bilateral agenda with new areas through joint steps, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

In this context, the fields of tourism, information technologies, and education were pointed out, towards which Armenia and Montenegro are forming the necessary legal framework.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Filip Ivanović discussed matters related to the engagement with the European Union. Stressing the efforts aimed at deepening the partnership with the EU, the interlocutors exchanged views on democratic reforms, visa liberalization dialogue and other agenda matters.

The issues of cooperation on multilateral platforms, as well as the efforts made in the direction of establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus, were touched upon.
