Armenian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-office discuss South Caucasus security situation

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. On September 23, in New York City, within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Ian Borg, OSCE Chairman-in-office, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Trade of Malta.

Issues related to OSCE activities and decisions under consideration within Malta’s presidency were discussed, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

The current security situation and processes in the South Caucasus were touched upon.

Reiterating the commitment of the Armenian side to establish stability in the South Caucasus, FM Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the importance of not creating artificial impediments on the path to concluding the peace treaty and signing it in the shortest timeframe.
