Armenian Speaker of Parliament postpones Canada visit

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan’s planned visit to Canada has been delayed due to the domestic tensions there, his spokesperson confirmed Monday.

Simonyan’s spokesperson Movses Harutyunyan said Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada Greg Fergus phoned the Armenian Speaker of Parliament and asked him to postpone his visit “until the resolution of the domestic political situation” in Canada. Simonyan agreed given the presented situation. 

All other hypotheses regarding the delay are “lies and have nothing to do with reality,” Harutyunyan added.
