YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Culture Days will be held in various Chinese cities for one year starting September 28 to promote Armenian culture and tourism.
The Armenian Culture Days will officially kick off with the Armenian National Theme Month festival.
Armenia-China Partnership Center NGO President Armen Mkhitaryan said the event will be held at the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area section of the Great Wall of China.
The festival will feature Armenian arts, wine, cuisine and tourism opportunities. Travel agents will present tourism packages on the spot.
The location is a top tourism destination in China and the number of visitors is expected to be high.
“This is a very good opportunity to promote Armenia,” Mkhitaryan said. “China is a major market and we must actively work in various directions. There is great potential in terms of expanding cooperation. We have opportunities to boost tourism, as well as opportunities in terms of presenting our goods in the Chinese market.”
In addition to the Armenian National Theme Month event, various other cultural events will take place throughout the one year of the culture days. The Armenia-China Partnership Center is cooperating with over 20 cultural centers and museums.
