YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Bundestag (German parliament) Michael Roth, the PM's office said in a readout.
The Prime Minister welcomed Roth's visit to Armenia and emphasized the ongoing development and expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation with Germany. Pashinyan highlighted the importance of advancing economic cooperation with Germany and noted that bilateral relations have been dynamic in recent years.
The German lawmaker stressed the active and close cooperation with Armenian Parliament colleagues, adding that the cooperation also takes place on international platforms.
The discussion also covered Armenia-European Union relations and the progress of democratic reforms in Armenia.
Prime Minister Pashinyan underscored that the development of democracy and democratic reforms is of strategic importance for the Government of Armenia, and that the efforts in this direction will remain consistent.
The parties also discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the border delimitation process between the two countries, and the Armenian Government's "Crossroads of Peace" project aimed at unblocking regional transport routes. The Prime Minister outlined Armenia’s key positions on these topics.
Additionally, they exchanged views on other regional and international issues of significance.
