Declaration of strategic partnership to deepen Armenia-Georgia relations, says Kobakhidze

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. According to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the agreement on strategic partnership signed between Armenia and Georgia will contribute and support the further deepening of relations between the two countries.

The Prime Minister made this statement during a briefing summarizing the results of his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Kobakhidze welcomed Pashinyan and his delegation, highlighting that the historical relations between Yerevan and Tbilisi are laid on long-term friendly ties and centuries-old mutual respect.

"I am glad that a strategic partnership has been established between two countries, which will support the further deepening of our relations," Kobakhidze said. He expressed satisfaction that the agreement signed between the two countries plays an important role and has yielded concrete results.

Kobakhidze also announced his gratitude to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for supporting the Georgian resolution at the United Nations regarding the return of internally displaced persons to Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali regions. He added that this support will contribute to the future strengthening of Armenian-Georgian relations.

The Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized that the relations between the two countries are very dynamic, which should be maintained in the future.
