Yerevan Dialogue 2024: Armenian FM meets with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has held a meeting with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh within the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue forum. 

FM Mirzoyan and Kirti Vardhan Singh were pleased to note that bilateral cooperation between Armenia and India has been developing in several areas of mutual interest. They expressed readiness to continue joint efforts to further enhance the bilateral agenda, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

Possibilities for partnership in various platforms and formats, as well as regional issues were also discussed. FM Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia has a clear vision regarding achieving peace and stability in South Caucasus which is based on unconditional respect for fundamental principles of international law and unwavering commitment to ensure economic development and effective cooperation. In this context Foreign Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest discussions in the direction of signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, and the steps for unblocking of regional connections. Both sides underscored the importance of effective opening of economic and transport connections for stakeholders, and in general for ensuring regional stability.
