Armenian lawmaker raises issues of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh during meeting with Danish delegation

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The Chair of the National Assembly Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan and the Deputy Chair Meri Galstyan on Friday met with delegation led by the Danish MP Sjúrdur Skaale.

According to a statement released by the Parliament, welcoming the guests, Arman Yeghoyan highlighted the development of the Armenian-Danish parliamentary cooperation.

Speaking about the Armenia-European Union deepening interaction, the Committee Chair valued the Danish experience in that process. Reference was also made to the effective implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the parliamentary oversight on it.

The National Assembly deputies voiced the problems of the Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh requiring priority resolution, emphasized the support of the international partners and organizations in their settlement. The Deputy Chair of the Committee Meri Galstyan drew the guests’ attention to the issue of preservation of historical-cultural heritage of Nagorno Karabakh.
