Italian Prime Minister expresses support to Armenia-Azerbaijan sustainable peace

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Rome, expressed support to the establishment of sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The Italian Prime Minister reiterated Rome’s commitment to the stability and prosperity of the Caucasus region and support to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the purpose of achieving lasting peace,” PM Meloni’s office said in a readout of the meeting.

The Italian PM said that the EU’s role is an integral part of the process, and that cooperation with the EU can open new possibilities for the entire region, including in terms of connections.
