Armenian PM finds dissolution of OSCE MG Co-Chairmanship possible in case of peace

YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS. Making a decision on dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship can only be possible after the establishment of peace, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.

“In the context of peace, we believe that such a decision can be made,” he said when asked by Armenpress if the OSCE Minsk Group could be dissolved. “And when peace is an established fact, the existence of that platform could indeed raise questions. The issue is about the timeframe. I think one shouldn’t put the cart before the horse in any issue,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister mentioned how Azerbaijan is misrepresenting this issue as well, falsely claiming that Armenia has territorial claims against Azerbaijan because it doesn’t agree to immediately dissolve the OSCE MG Co-Chairmanship. Pashinyan reiterated that Armenia doesn’t have any territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
