Armenia, Moldova discuss tourism and culture cooperation

YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Ambassador to Moldova Vladimir Karapetyan has met with the Minister of Culture of Moldova Sergiu Prodan to discuss cooperation in tourism and culture, the embassy said in a statement.

Ambassador Karapetyan reiterated the invitation extended to the Moldovan minister to attend the 8th UN Tourism Global Conference on Wine Tourism on 11-13 September in Armenia.

“Speaking about the conference, the minister recalled his visit to Armenia two years ago, when he participated in a major tourism conference, and mentioned that this time the Moldovan State Secretary Andrei Chistol will visit Armenia,” the embassy said in a readout.

Minister Prodan also spoke about cultural events in Moldova, attaching importance to the Armenian community’s contribution in the country’s cultural life.

The Armenian Ambassador thanked the minister for cooperating with the Armenian community and supporting the preservation of Armenian heritage, stressing that the deepening of cultural ties between Armenia and Moldova would contribute to the strengthening of the friendly relations between the two countries.
