Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: First time ever, Armenia is represented by ranked athletes

YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS. Para powerlifter Greta Vardanyan was Armenia’s flagbearer at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

French President Emmanuel Macron was among the attendees at the ceremony.

For the first time, Armenia is represented at the Paralympic Games by ranked athletes.

Team Armenia is represented by Smbat Karapetyan (Para athletics), Sargis Stepanyan (Para athletics) and Greta Vardanyan (Para powerlifting).
