Armenia’s economic indicators maintain growth in January-July

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. The main macroeconomic indicators continued to grow in Armenia, according to data published by the Statistical Committee.

The economic activity index in January-July grew 9,6% compared to the same period of 2023.

Below is the data for January-July.

Industrial production output grew 15,7% and comprised over 1,6 trillion drams.

Construction grew 16,1% and comprised over 259,3 billion drams.

Trade turnover grew 21,4% and comprised over 3,3 trillion drams.

The services sector (excluding trade) grew 4,5%, comprising over 1,8 trillion drams.

The consumer price index was 0,3% lower than last year’s figure.

The industrial product price index grew 2,8%.

Electricity production grew 1,1%, comprising nearly 5 billion kWh. The figure doesn’t include the electricity produced by autonomous producers.
