Bosphorus Strait temporarily closed due to tanker engine failure

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. The Bosphorus Strait was temporarily closed for ship traffic on Monday due to a tanker engine failure, according to Ilke News Agency.

The 171-meter-long tanker, named SREDINA, experienced engine trouble while sailing from Romania to Libya, according to the report.  

Turkish authorities have dispatched tugboats to assist the vessel and the strait will be closed for traffic until the situation is resolved.
