YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. Ukrainian kamikaze drones have hit high-rise residential buildings in Saratov Region, Russia, RT reported citing local authorities.
According to Saratov Governor Roman Busargin, the air defenses responded to the attack, but falling “drone fragments” hit houses in the cities of Saratov and Engels.
Four people were injured, including a woman who remains in critical condition, RIA Novosti reported, citing the regional health department.
A video posted on Telegram shows the moment a drone hit an apartment block in Saratov.
Another UAV crashed into an apartment block in Engels, with the debris damaging parked cars.
A drone has also been shot down over Bryansk Region, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz said.
The Russian Defense Ministry released a statement, saying that 20 drones were intercepted overnight, including nine over Saratov Region.
