75 cases of West Nile virus confirmed in Armenia

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS. As of Friday, 75 cases of West Nile virus have been confirmed in Armenia, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. WNV is primarily transmitted by Culex species mosquitoes and is not spread from person to person.

Currently, one death from West Nile fever has been recorded in Armenia.

The deceased was an 86-year-old man with underlying health conditions.
