State procurement process improvement discussed under Prime Minister's leadership

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS. A consultation was held under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

During the meeting, issues related to improving the procurement process and planned legislative changes were discussed.

According to a readout issued by the Prime Minister’s office, the meeting focused on enhancing the efficiency of the procurement process, developing capacities, establishing flexible regulations, implementing competitive procurement formats and procedures, advancing digital systems and addressing the planned changes in these areas.

Pashinyan was presented with the possibilities of introducing an artificial intelligence tool into the state procurement process, as well as the necessary steps to address legal issues.

According to the source, there was an exchange of ideas with the heads of the relevant departments.

The PM emphasized the importance of consistently improving the state procurement process, which will aid in implementing state programs more effectively and without delays.

Pashinyan instructed the officials to summarize the recommendations presented during the discussion in order to initiate legislative changes.
